A 6-Day Devotional Retreat to Rest, Nourish & Reconnect
19 May -24th may 2027 | Portugal

“May you recognise in your life the presence, power and light of your soul."

Welcome to Devoted Being.

I'm so grateful you've found your way here.

This retreat is an invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and into a slower, more intentional rhythm. Over six days we'll share nourishing movement, moments of stillness, wholesome food, time in nature and heartfelt connection, creating space to rest, reconnect and remember what truly matters.

Whether you're longing for renewal, inspiration or simply time to breathe, I hope this week offers a gentle invitation to devote a little more time, care and presence to yourself.

All beings & bodies are welcomed to this retreat , I cant wait to retreat with you in Portugal.

Our Theme: Devoted Being

What does it truly mean to live a devoted life? A life of …love?

I share this theme with you from my heart. After years of practising yoga, teaching, questioning, and simply living this beautifully messy human life, I find myself returning, again and again, to one thing…Bhakti.

In the yogic tradition, Bhakti is the path of devotion. For me, it is the heart of yoga. It reminds us that yoga is not only something we practise, but a way of meeting life itself.

To be devoted is to be in love. In love with yourself. In love with others. In love with this extraordinary life. And to be in love is to be here. Right here, in this moment.

I feel deeply honoured and excited to share this journey with you. Together, we'll gently explore what it means to live with an open heart, meeting ourselves and this precious life with presence, love and reverence.

What are you devoted to? And how might your life change if devotion became less about what you do, and more about the way you choose to be? Being.

My hope is that this retreat becomes more than a week away. That it becomes a gentle and expansive opening to your bhakti, your loving devotion and, may you contnue your journey onwards, feeling inspired and connected, to all that is.

While each day unfolds in its own unique way, our retreat follows a gentle rhythm, thoughtfully balancing movement, nourishment, rest and connection.

Morning

Begin your day with meditation, breathwork and a loving yoga asana practice before gathering for a wholesome, plant-based breakfast. The morning continues with philosophy, self enquiry and reflective practices, such as journalling, inspired by our theme of Devoted Being, creating space to deepen your connection with yourself both on and off the mat.

Afternoon

After a nourishing seasonal lunch, the afternoon invites you to slow down. Spend time resting by the natural pool, unwinding in the sauna, journalling beneath the trees or simply embracing the spaciousness of retreat life.

During the week, we'll also enjoy a group beach excursion and a guided nature hike. One afternoon will be left open for you to choose your own adventure. You're welcome to book an optional horseback riding experience or a cave and dolphin boat tour (approximately £60 per person), or simply remain at the retreat centre to enjoy a treatment, rest or quiet time in nature.

Evening

As the day begins to soften, we'll come back together for an evening yoga, restorative sound practice, followed by a delicious shared dinner. Our evenings will lovingly include meditation, fire ceremony, music, meaningful conversation or simply time to sit beneath the beautiful Portuguese sky, allowing the day's experiences to gently settle before we rest.

Setting & Sanctuary :

Hidden amongst the rolling hills of southwest Portugal, Monte da Orada is a peaceful sanctuary. It is truly stunning.

Once a place of pilgrimage and healing, the land still carries a deep sense of stillness and power today. Surrounded by ancient cork trees, open valleys and wild coastline, it offers the perfect environment to step away from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with devotion to self.

The retreat centre is approximately 1.5 hours from Faro Airport and 2.5 hours from Lisbon Airport, making it easily accessible from both airports.

Airport transfers are not included in the retreat price. However, as we get closer to our retreat, I'll be in touch to gather everyone's flight details and help coordinate shared transfers. My aim is to make your journey to the retreat as smooth, simple and affordable as I can.

If you prefer a little more freedom during your stay, you're also very welcome to hire a car. This can be a wonderful option if you'd like to explore the surrounding coastline, beaches and villages during your free time.

Whichever way you choose to travel, you'll receive all the information you need before we gather, so you can arrive feeling relaxed, supported and ready to settle into the week ahead.

Check-in is from 3pm on 19th May, giving you plenty of time to arrive, settle into your room and land before we come together for our opening evening practice and first supper.

Check-out is at 12pm on 24th May, following our final closing practice and brunch together.

Some guests like to spend an extra night either side of the retreat in Faro or Lisbon, which can be a lovely way to ease into or out of the journey, but I leave this entirely up to you. You may also choose to make the retreat part of a longer Portuguese holiday, with some time to explore before or afterwards.

Food Nourishment

At the heart of every retreat is the simply gorgoues act of gathering around the table together to share food.

devotional body

Our spacious afternoons are an invitation to return to the devotional body.

Let the mountains hold you as you drift between the gorgeous bio pool, the warmth of the sauna, and the buzzy touch of the ice bath. Find the hamocks to journal, lose yourself in the pages of a good book, or simply surrender to an afternoon snooze.

If you feel called, you are also welcome to book one of the beautiful treatments on offer, allowing yourself to receive, soften, and be deeply cared for.

  • “I am so grateful for the experience of this past weekend. I returned home feeling more grounded, nourished, and at peace than I have in a long time. Bella’s kindness, warmth, and attentive guidance created a safe space where I could truly soften and be present. I loved how she balanced the uplifting, mindful elements of yoga with a compassionate understanding of life’s challenges. This retreat reminded me of the power of vulnerability, connection, and self-care - and it left a lasting, positive impact on me.”
